Privacy notice

This notice explains how the JustGospel platform uses personal data when you create an account, join a church community, publish content, contact support or use platform features. Contact us at support@justgospel.co.uk with privacy questions or requests.

Information we use

Account and security information includes your name, email address, credentials, verification state, roles, sessions and security events. Profile and church information can include biography, interests, location, church affiliation, invitations and membership status.

We also process content you submit, support interactions, communication preferences and technical information needed to secure and operate the service. Please do not put confidential or safeguarding information into ordinary profile or community fields.

Why we use it

We use personal data to provide accounts and requested services, protect users and the platform, administer church communities, respond to support requests, meet legal duties and improve the service. Optional analytics, personalisation and marketing technologies are used only according to your cookie choice and applicable communications rules.

Where information may reveal religious belief or another sensitive characteristic, JustGospel will apply the approved purpose, legal condition, access restrictions and retention rule before that processing is enabled.

Sharing and international processing

Information is shared only with authorised church or platform administrators, service providers and public authorities where necessary and permitted. Providers may support hosting, email delivery, monitoring, search or security. JustGospel requires appropriate data-processing and transfer safeguards before production data is made available to a provider.

Retention and security

Records are kept only for the approved operational, safety, legal or dispute period. Account closure does not automatically remove records that must be retained for fraud prevention, safeguarding, legal claims or audit integrity. Data is protected through access controls, encryption, monitoring, backups and tested deletion or restriction propagation.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection, and may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need to verify your identity and explain any lawful limitation.

You can change optional tracking through Cookie settings. Contact support to exercise another privacy right. You may also complain to the relevant data-protection authority.

Children and safeguarding

Features intended for children will not be enabled until the applicable age, parental-authority, transparency and safeguarding controls have been approved. Report an immediate safety concern through the designated safeguarding channel rather than a public post.

Changes to this notice

Material changes receive a new version and effective date. Where required, we will notify you or ask you to acknowledge the updated notice before continuing affected processing.
